Da die Schloßanlage etwas unübersichtlich ist, sei sie hier anhand eines innen ausgestellten Modells kurz erklärt: im Bildmittelpunkt das Vorwerk, das auf das befestigte Tor führt. Diese Befestigung geht innerhalb der Mauer in einen größeren Wohnbau über. Rechts im Hintergrund ist die heutige Stiftskirche über eine eigene Brücke und ein befestigtes Tor zu erreichen. Sie ist seit dem 19. Jh. durch eine innere Mauer komplett vom Schloßgelände getrennt.

The castle complex is a bit complicated, so have a look at the model shown inside the castle for clarification. In the middle of the picture you see the large barbician, leading towards the fortified castle entrance. This is built together with a smaller habitation building on the inside of the wall. To the right, the current collegiate church has its own fortified entrance and bridge and is completely separated from the castle grounds by a wall erected in the 19th century.
