Ein weiterer Höhepunkt des Schlosses: das außergewöhnlich große Taubenhaus, vor allem im Verhältnis zum Schloß selbst, das als Symbol der Macht und des beherrschten Landes eine wichtige Rolle spielte. Vom 14. Jh. bis zur Revolution war die Haltung der Tauben den weltlichen und kirchlichen Feudalherren vorbehalten.

Another highlights of the castle is the surprisingly huge dovecote, particularly considering the size of the castle itself. From the 14th century to the French revolution, only seigneurs and monasteries had the right to keep pigeons. The dovecote was an important symbol for the power and the owned land of a seigneur.
