Wir fahren von Saumur aus an der Loire entlang zu unserem ersten Hauptziel, der Abbay de Fontevraud. Auf dem Weg dahin kommen wir am Schloß von Montsoreau (Mitte 15. Jh) vorbei, das direkt an der Loire liegt und die Straße von Saumur nach Chinon sicherte. (Hier aus der anderen Richtung gesehen)

Driving from Saumur to our first visiting destination of the day, Fontevraud Abbey, we pass by Montsoreau castle (15th. century), situated at the riverside and securing the street from Saumur to Chinon. (Seen from the opposite direction here)
