Ein Bohlenwanderweg führt am Roten Moor entlang durch einen sogenannten Karpaten-Birkenwald, ein lichter Wald auf typischem Moorboden mit einer besonderen Birkenart und nur in dieser Kombination vorkommenden Tier- und Pflanzenwelt.

A wooden walkway, typical for moor hiking, leads alongside the Red Moor through a special kind of birch wood (Carpathian Birch wood). A typical variety of birch grows a light forest on the moor soil and houses a unique combinatoin of animal and plant life.
